No I just think how we perceive Christianity and why it works in modern society of rich people is a lot different than how people in 2AD Rome and Judea perceived Christianity and to whom it appealed to.
Does that belief of yours presupposes that Jesus Christ is not God?
You know that Guy who said I am with you always.

why did Paul write to the Thessalonians to reassure then that it hasn't happened yet
If the Apostle Paul even wrote the letter

Thank you for the question. I did a 2 month series on it so if you would like I can send you the YouTube channel with the sermons from my church.
But to me one of the major things revolves around technology. In reading the book of Revelation you see the Mark of the Beast system. Now, how that will look in practice I do not know. But, the key behind it is an ability to control how people spend money, what and when they can buy, and putting a type of loyalty requirement in their ability to do so. Until recently, humanity has not had the ability to unilaterally implement that, control the spending of people, and the mass tracking scale needed to enforce it. With digital currency, social credit scores, people not needing cash as much anymore, et. al., the structure is definitely there. We can certainly now envision such a system being carried out.

Not really relevant. It works both ways.
That comment was about the perception of men/societies and requires no divine effort or application.

He did. But let's say he didn't, why would it need to be written in the first place if there was not the idea and expectation?

Agreed… things are definitely possible now that just simply wasn’t 2000 years ago.

I mean the precursors to the mark, specifically the antichrist and seals being opened.
The "technology is the mark" has been a thing for a while. We just had a thread within the past week about it

Thanks. Im pretty sure im going to become an "Orthobro" at a local Greek Orthodox church once football season ends. Im truly convicted. resentful that I was raised Dispensationalist and my poor mom meant well but had zero chance of spotting the deceit

Why would any false book of Christianity be written?
There are dozens (hundreds?) that didn't make canon, some obvious fakes.

I’m not waiting on football.., but me too, there’s a very small Orthodox Church community in my area and I intend to go Come and See.

Orthodox Christianity is certainly the thing

Why do you feel compelled to shite on things you don’t believe anyway and certainly don’t understand?
What do you gain? What’s in it for you?

What does that have to do with trends in MAGA-dom?

Have people engage in more independent self-examination (I figured that would be obvious with the use of the NPC meme) to reject the rampant foolishness on the right so that the non-left can be a serious thing again one day.

Unhappy people want others to be unhappy.

Someone is talking about joining a church... and you reduce it to a trend in "maga-dom". I mean, what the frick?

Finding faith is foolishness?
The Bible talks about that, too... I'm happy to be "foolish" in your eyes, seeing as to what you count for "wisdom".

The rapture is a Prot thing.
No is a dispensationalist Protestant thing. Its the same people that believe modern day Jews are still God's chosen people. It was very popular amongst Southern Baptist churches for a while, though thankfully many are starting to shift more reformed

I believe in the rapture.
Personally, I think the UAP and Aliens thing will be the world explains the rapture away.
You can already see the pieces moving. It's on the brink of world wide acceptance.

First. Me and Winnie go back over 10 years. It's friendly banter among old friends
Second, you need to look at his phrasing in terms of the seriousness of his tone involved.
Third, there's at least a 25 to 30% chance this is part of his elaborate troll stick and the sincerity you're defending never existed. Specifically, that would be why he chose Orthodox Church given its place in the modern right/ maga movement
