Y’all act like Trump is forcing businesses to reopen coal mines. No, he’s removing regulatory barriers to coal mining and if a coal mining business finds that it’s profitable to mine coal they will do so voluntarily.

I’d prefer he replace coal with natural gas! Cleaner & safer, and it’ll allow the drill baby drill mentality! Something $60 oil will not sustain!

We've already established your lack of literacy.

Land conservation was popular amongst conservatives at one time.

What if you are sitting on top of an easily accessible coal deposit 6” below your feet and there are no natural gas pipelines within 100s of miles? You’re going to force said town to use natural gas to make electricity instead of easily accessible coal?
I thought you were a free market guy?

Are any of you literate?
Everything you ask here has already been covered, more than once in this thread.
I'm all for letting baws pull coal out of the ground, but you're not going to find many workers.
There are 500k construction jobs needed this year, another 500k will be needed next year. Where are your unemployed coal miners?
Where are all these workers you people keep promising? Why are coal miners sitting on their arse drawing govt benefits with so many jobs open?
You are totally ignoring the idea that these folks could have work and dont want work.
quote:
To meet the construction industry’s needs in 2025, 439,000 new workers will be required, according to a model developed by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). The model uses data from the U.S. Census Bureau’s construction put-in-place survey and U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ payroll construction employment data, while also factoring in job openings, unemployment and projected retirements.
If these numbers can’t be met, then “industrywide labor cost escalation will accelerate, exacerbating already high construction costs and reducing the volume of work that is financially feasible,” Anirban Basu, chief economist at ABC, said in a press release. “Average hourly earnings throughout the industry are up 4.4% over the past 12 months, significantly outpacing earnings growth across all industries.”

Why arent your vaunted coal miners employed in this industry?

Yes, the average American reads on a 7th grade level.
Good job at supporting your ideal.

Then just let the mining companies figure this out. Just because business might have trouble finding employees doesn’t mean the administration shouldn’t lax restrictions on coal mining.

Under this logic there can never be a new business, a second store, new manufacturing, etc simply because no one is currently doing it.
This is the hot new progressive talking point on social media.
We can't bring back any jobs or create new ones because it will take too long to build a factory, restart a factory, etc.
Yes, they are actively rooting for no progress in the economy.

Imagine not supporting bringing back jobs to rural coal mining towns that have been decimated by regulations? How retarded are you on a scale of 1-10? It feels like a solid 9 to me
Imagine supporting government propping up an industry that is not the cheaper energy source. Did not know we are now supporting socialist agendas.

All of them.
So we want the safety regulations for workers removed and any kind of environmental runoff protections removed as well?

Let the local communities decide if it's worth it to them
How does that work? The community doesn't vote in a coal mine or business.
