I just showed you proof otherwise. He got fired for the same reason Kurt Schilling did: daring to go against left-wing mantra and saying things the other personalities wanted to say but were unwilling to.

Rush made the genre of conservative talk radio, but after 30 years he was still the best.

My weekdays will never be same.

I got in my car today and instinctively wondered if Rush was on today. He was such a big part of my life since 1988.

These past few weeks have been torture. The suspense in the beginning of the show hoping to hear Rush, but hearing the guest host announced. Agonizing. RIP, brave Patriot

Was it too much trouble to read what Rush actually said posted just above? If you did read it, and thought it was racist you may have a problem understanding the context.

I was wondering why this thread just kept going. Now I'm sorry I clicked on these last few pages.

Sad times

I'm not even a republican (although i'd probably agree with him on more things than not), but to think about noontime in America without that theme song coming on and Rush coming out with guns blazing is a pretty dark and depressing adendum to 2020-1

No matter what, this loss is bigger than we can even realize at this point, sadly

I listened every chance I got

Rush on the Phil Donohue show in 1992. If you're a fan and have never seen this, it's worth every minute. I've seen this before, maybe even when originally aired as I was an established fan already by then. Vintage Rush though, just brilliant.

HogNutz....THANK YOU for linking to this!!! It’s amazing the topics he was talking about & how they ring true today....global warming, environmental wackos, etc. Total blast from the past. This is around the time I started listening to him. Love the commercials too.

NoBoDawg- you bet, I thoroughly enjoyed it too, almost brought tears, again. Libs have no sense, including of humor, and they never got him. Illustrating absurdity thru absurdity, another tact Rush was master of.

Rush Limbaugh Was Great When Democrats Were in the WH

quote:

To his credit, in recent years, Limbaugh showed signs of figuring out—finally—that the "deep state" is not the good guys and that all those CIA and Pentagon officials he'd been cheering for all those years were maybe not the selfless patriots he apparently long assumed them to be. He seems to have figured out that the Dick Cheneys of the world are maybe not friends of the American people.
