I love this line of thinking. Irresponsible people get pregnant and liberals/baby murder aficionados believe that if you are against baby murder you need to ALSO be responsible for the irresponsible people. How about "it would be awesome if potential parents cared as much about taking care of potential children as they did about giving into their basest desires to the point that they would murder a baby to absolve themselves of the natural consequence of unprotected sex."
In terms of "caring," take a look at the welfare state we've created for those children. What isn't yet being done that needs to be done? We have supplemental income, housing, meals, nutrition programs, day to night childcare programs, free schooling/busing, etc. What frontier haven't we "cared" enough about at this point?
