Having a Super Bowl every 7 years, brings in billions dollars of revenue to the state. Not counting tourism during the season too.

Billions in revenue sounds a bit much..by a lot…
And revenue to private businesses doesn’t translate 100% to tax revenue
..only a fraction does..and That’s what subsidy should be compared to…tax revenue benefit for state (monetary recovery) compared to subsidy…
For example, chemical plants turn the best economic development numbers..for every industry job created, 4 downstream jobs are created…pretty high paying ones at that.
Retail , which is who benefits most from Saints, is the bottom of the totem pole from a job turn ratio….its not even 1 to 1

The state also pays above market rent in properties like Benson Towers, where floors sit vacant. They had to get very creative to keep the team in New Orleans.
