Dude has been going hard against Cali, Karen Bass, and Gavin since his house burned down. He has built a huge following in doing so and was responsible for outing how Gavin's wife received money from the benefit concert despite not being a victim. None of the victims got a dime from that money.
He has exposed a lot and done a lot more than just that. Now he is running for mayor.
Yes, he's a d-list reality TV dude, but he seems pretty based, and the fire radicalized him, so he is putting up instead of shutting up.
He probably doesn't have a shot against the Cali machine, though.

Yea he's not going to win and probably knows that but also knows a campaign gets coverage so this is another way to get word out about the failures of Cali towards the fire victims.

Yea I never liked him from the show but once he started spreading the info I followed him and realized it was all fiction. He even admitted to playing a character that the show wanted. He is actually pretty charismatic and a down-to-earth family man.
He has exposed so much since the fires started, and Gavin has tried to silence him. After Spencer exposed it, Gavin's wife's money funnel was hidden as receiving fire aid money. It's amazing how Gavin just does what he wants without fear.
