Yea, I think it separates people that are true sport fanatics from people who like the comradery/party/community aspect of following sports. I have never watched sports because I thought the people involved somehow represent my view of the world, I watch them because I enjoy watching sporting competitions.

Not sure on how asking a question about people watching sports is virtue signaling. Where is the virtue? The fact that I don't watch a lot of sports currently is a choice. Why do you think there is virtue involved?

My wife is a sports fan and a huge NFL fan. Personally, I started to lose interest in the NFL 4 or 5 years ago, by love college FB and MLB.
Wife began as a diehard NFL fan watching football as a child with her daddy. She always had to had the NFL Sunday ticket so she would watch all the games.
This year, she gave up the Sunday ticket and hardly watched any NFL games, even missing games involving her lifelong favorite team. She is not a political person and I never discuss politics with her.
Last night we were discussing switching from DirecTV to streaming or something else. I mentioned that I never watch network TV anymore and other than movies, MLB and college FB, I don't watch anything on TV. She started crying and stated that she doesn't hardly watch NFL anymore and that it saddens her because she had loved it for so long. She doesn't know why she doesn't like it anymore.

It's odd to me that we get so many of these threads. Everybody that doesn't watch sports now wants everybody to know about it.

wife sounds pretty cool baw. Could it be that she is tired of the constant and unnecessary pandering and virtue signaling to African Americans? Perhaps the disingenuous lecturing and smugness from the commentators and in all commercials?
No other ethnicity or race has been pandered to this much in the history of man. It's ruining everything and has to end.

I am not sure. I do not see a difference in the people I talk to, some fanatics and some casual viewers have also completely given it up. It does not seem split down that line in my experience.

Nope. Cancelled cable. I watched half of the superbowl because I was invited to a party at someone else's house.
I left at halftime because we started drinking at noon, though, lol.

I watch. I don't like having to ignore the politically and racially charged bullshite in an event that should unite all races under the umbrella of pure competition. Wish I didn't have to, but I can still enjoy the game while the clock runs.

Unfortunately, then, you're part of the problem. I refuse to pay people to insult me and lie to me, and so I cancelled cable. 300 channels of people telling me I'm evil for being white got entirely enough. Going on 3 years without cable. Don't miss it a bit.
I did start reading more, which has made me a better person. If you hate cable news and woke sports, and still pay for it, you have Stockholm's Syndrome.

That cuck Jim Nance tries to ruin it each time with unnecessary personal commentary

So why do you watch it?

I watch the Golf Channel for coverage and then have PGA radio on while the TV CBS coverage is muted. Extraordinary better quality.
I've watched a few Saints games and most of them are on FOX

I do, too, but it's secondary to cowtowing to liberal propaganda for me.
Apparently, you're just fine with paying to have people tell you that being white is evil.
But hey, you do you. If you pay them to tell you you're racist and evil for being white, and then want to come here and bitch about it, that's your choice.

So brave. Yes I still watch sports boycotted the first 3 saints games. But it was great. The nba has been great so far and college basketball is getting interesting.

So you're just fine with acknowledging that you're evil for being white. Hey, you be you.
As long as ESPN can tell white people they're evil racists and still get dumb white people to pay to have ESPN tell them that, they will keep doing it.

College football and college baseball. College baseball still has a laid back feeling of what sports used to be about.
I stopped caring about pros years ago.
