So we are supposed to give billions of dollars to idiots who cannot build a vault so they can fix the environment?
This is probably a build to fail stunt like obamacare

But the media should have done a little more footwork when reporting on the flooding. It turns out the vault regularly floods, as its designers anticipated.

There’s only one problem — the vault floods almost every year.

There's a real source, not some anonymous fake source.
Deep underground in the far reaches of the arctic North, there’s a fortress that’s supposed to be one of humanity’s safeguards if we can’t feed ourselves in the future. It’s a vault containing 500 million seeds, representing 880,000 different crops, many of which can’t be found in fields today. It’s the ultimate failsafe if the world’s farms burn or diseases decimate our staples and we have to start over. The facility is supposed to keep these seeds safe for hundreds of years, without human oversight. What the designers weren’t counting on so much: floods linked to climate change. The Guardian is reporting that a flood due to melting arctic permafrost has breached the facility, creating an icy mess. The seeds are safe for now — they’re packaged in moisture-proof bags, and the flood didn’t reach the vault, just the entrance. Still, it caught the facility managers by surprise. We Were Warned
Sounds to me like it is just another case of government workers not being prepared.

And that wraps up the whole movement in a nutshell.
Well said!

In a couple days itll leak out it was just some new intern who knocked over the KK Water bottle and the "journalists" got wind of it.

... add some soil, heat lamps, fertilizer and now we have our vault garden.

In typical fashion, you left out the "update" which references that it was just some "seasonal waters" that breached the door of facility.
There is no story here. Fear mongering leftists.

Mmmm..floods?? How are the seasonal rains and seasonal melt "linked" to "climate change"? What is the average temp in that region?
Update: According to new reporting from Popular Science, it turns out that there’s some water intrusion into the front of the facility most summers as seasonal meltwater creeps its way in. Popular Science also reports that the seed vault is a bit uphill from the entrance. So it would take much, much more water to overwhelm the seeds. In any case, it’s something to monitor.

I find it amazing that there are still so many derps that buy into the "global warming" hoax. How can this be?

In the past few weeks ive seen articles tying earthquakes in alaska and snow in the Smokies to climate change. Excuse me if im skeptical about isolated incidents. You can keep reciting the ideoligical line all you want, i'll think a little more critically. Most permafrost ebbs and wanes. It also rains in the arctic.
You anti science types always leave out the big one. The Big Bang. Why did that happen? Climate Change! Climate change caused the Big Bang!
