Subscribed. You should check on the volume balance between the intro video and your chat. The volume on your chat was far lower than that of the intro. The outro was a little loud, but within an acceptable realm.
I didn't realize you two were home-schooled. That explains a lot.
My sister and brother-in-law home-schooled their two kids until a couple of years ago (the younger started at a private school at the beginning of his 7th grade year while the older one went in a year later for his 11th grade year). Both are academic stand-outs and it got me thinking the other day... I've known quite a few home-schooled people over the years and not a single one of them has done poorly academically once they transitioned out of their home-schooling (whether like my nephews who have moved to a private school or like you and your brother who home-schooled all 12 years).
It's both a telling indictment of the deplorable level of education in our public school system and a concrete testament to the importance of parental involvement in a child's education.
Good luck to you and your brother, I look forward to more discussions.

Do you view Candace Owens rise and role for the GOP as identity politics?

That was quite prodigious for an inaugural venture, and your sesquipedalian loquacity is exquisitely counterbalanced by the intermittent utilization of “y’all”.

I disagree. As long as the message itself is easy to understand there's no reason viewers shouldn't be given an opportunity to expand their vocabulary. Personally I appreciate verbiage that's a little more uncommon used in a perfunctory manner, that is to say naturally (not purposefully) sesquipedalian.

Maybe anti-identity politics. Been watching her since she was known primarily as "Red Pill Black."
I have to word things carefully when it comes to her--I think she tends to perhaps leverage her ethnicity more than is necessary to make her points. I think that's maybe a function of her identifying as more right-wing at a later stage (after all, she voted for Obama twice). As such, she's still finding her way a bit, and has acquitted herself well, all things considered, given how quickly she became a name.
But, no, I don't view her role as being one of identity politics. People on the right take her to task for takes of hers they don't like, or criticize her tone, etc. She doesn't get a free pass from the rank and file GOP by virtue of her immutable traits (not sure if that's what you were implying, but that's how I read it. I apologize if I'm off base).
And, really, that's something that my brother and I want to emphasize. Yes, we'll get into racial topics a bit, but that's not the crux of who we are. We're comfortable on the right, and have been since the beginning--we don't need to rely on our race to get our point across. We just want to hash out issues and let an audience view/input as we bandy (hopefully) good ideas back and forth.

You should hear our parents talk

Great topic TbirdSpur. And the vocabulary building component is a nice addition.

She's an utter joke and looking for attention. Her interview on JRE & the stunt she pulled on TMZ was laughable.

I answered your question objectively. I'm not a fan of using "democratic plantation" terminology personally but it does paint a cogent picture of the groupthink that pervades the demographic. Saying such isn't identity politics--it's pointing out the byproduct of identity politics.

Well moreso with millennials in general, but face it, few millennial black women have the message she does. She could be talking about virtually anything and that would still be the demographic she most resonated with.

her message is that they have been victimized by the party.
I've also heard her couch her message as one of black people NOT being victims, and to live their lives as such. Kinda two sides of the same coin, but the bottom line is that she is not in general basing her reasoning on being conservative on her race. Whereas, conversely, most blacks who vote/are democrats tend to do so simply because its viewed as what black people do. THAT'S identity politics, not what Candace Owens is doing.
That said, I'm not here to play goalie for her. I'm more of a Shapiro/Crowder/Peterson/Rubin guy than anything, and I don't even agree with all they say, either.

I disagree she's an utter joke but I'm not a huge fan of hers, either, like I said in my previous post. I don't follow her or anything, just been aware of her for longer than most. She has a good core message (from my perspective), but I don't really get into much of her ancillary antics. My brother and I don't even discuss her.
Glad there's another right-of-center millennial in the space, but I don't have to subscribe to everything she says or does. Like I said, she voted for Obama twice, so....

Tell them they did a good job. As a father homeschooling children it can be quite the sacrifice. My wife quit teaching to stay home. Quite a financial blow.
Good for your parents for sticking it out and good for y'all taking advantage. It shows.
Subscribed. I feel much like y'all. Why give up God's gift off independent thought and free will? It's ridiculous. I'd like to see the party system dissolved.

We'll try--that really is how we talk Friggin' homeschoolers. But yeah we don't want people running to the dictionary every two seconds, either. We'll find a balance
LOL
I remember when William F Buckley would debate someone and he would smile and use really large words. He would then throw in a word they didnt know but since he was smiling and nodding his head pleasantly they would agree. Until the conversation was over and they discover the word he used was done to make them look like a fool.
Good work. If yall start doing interviews I would recommend Fox and BHP. And maybe you could do a debate with some of the resident liberals.
