If these guys are from south of the border I would think driving in the US would be a breeze. Driving into a 4 way stop in Mexico is a challenge.

Wait, so you just have liability insurance on a car that is worth over $10K?
That makes no sense. You only carry collision-only if you don't really care if the car is totaled.
Otherwise, you should just be out your deductible.
On the immigration issue, I agree with you about amnesty. The issue is that our government IS NOT going to round them all up and send them home. So, we need a status for them where they participate, pay taxes, and are responsible.
As for the ones who send all of their money back home, we should put a stop to that right away. Go after that money like we would drug money. Or, tax it at 50% or 75% or something. There has to be a way to stop that transfer of money out of the U.S. on that level.
We need to make it where, if you are here and we aren't sending you home, then you are HERE. You must learn English and be able to pass a test in ENGLISH. No more of this dual language stuff. And, you MUST pay taxes and be accountable.
I am all for being compassionate and working something out with those who have come here over the past 20 years. We are NOT rounding up 12 million people and deporting them. But, what are we going to do that is equitable for those who are doing it the right way?
There is a not a country in the world that I would expect to just walk in to, pay no taxes, live off of their social safety net, and then demand rights while eschewing all accountability. That part makes absolutely NO sense. We couldn't even go to Mexico and do any of that.
But, yes. We NEED reform and I am ALL for working with those who already here in a proper way.

If you decide against it...Then that's the gamble you take.. I've personally had to use my UM coverage twice in the past 5 years... Won't drive a car with out it.. plain and simple
