You're making a very stupid argument. Granting special tax status is establishment of religion Words have meanings.

Yep they do, but in your case, you don't appear to understand them. Establishment of religion means the government chooses one particular religion as the official religion of the country. Granting tax exempt status to ALL does NOT constitute choosing ONE.

I could hear you furiously banging away at your keyboard trying to figure out why you're wrong...and you still fell on your fricking face.

Yawn.

That was early.

The "religion of science " idiots usually wait until they're completely cornered to show up.

Is that what you heard? Could have been the dump in your pants.

Connect your "is" to the subject or tuck your tail. This is ridiculous. You'll never grow at this rate. And you're like 60 years old right? Better get busy.

I see. So you support removing the ability of local governments to provide property tax exemptions to whomever they wish?

Do you believe all 501c3 organizations should pay property taxes, or just those you disagree with due to your elementary-level religious views?

Who said anything about science? Certainly not me. Your religion is atheism. You are completely incapable of defending your beliefs.

My point: Treating this as a legalistic sword match ends only in restrictions so suffocating that they eliminate the vast majority of causes. Far better to have reasoned compromise that looks at outcomes rather than regulations.

My first post in this thread suggested a homestead exemption type of status to protect small churches but tax the ones with vast real estate holdings. I've no interest in taking an absolutist position I just felt the need to respond when someone cited the 1st as the linear opposite of the actual text.

My statement was grammatically correct. You can check that out for yourself...or not. I couldn't care less.

Your desperation to find something that I'm wrong about is pathetic. I've been back on this board for like an hour, and you're already being a little bitch because I made you look like a moron. Again.

I bet you think you're unique. We all know a dozen guys that will lose sleep over trying to convince others they aren't wrong.

I don't think anyone should be paying property taxes, but that isn't the case.

Atheism isn't a religion, sport. My views are rooted in science and knowledge. If you're going to pretend I'm religious, that's exactly what you're saying.

I've been doing just that for over a decade here. Not a single one of you has ever effectly challenged my views.

What I asked:

quote:

So you support removing the ability of local governments to provide property tax exemptions to whomever they wish?

Do you believe all 501c3 organizations should pay property taxes, or just those you disagree with due to your elementary-level religious views?

How you didn't answer the questions:

quote:

I don't think anyone should be paying property taxes, but if that isn't the case.

You're the one who said churches should be paying property taxes. No one else said that for you. Don't be backing out from that position now just because you have been confronted with questions you don't want to answer.

You believe that to be true, but you certainly don't know it to be true.

Yes, we have all seen that you are incapable of admitting the clear holes in your beliefs. You are the biggest believer on the board.
