Oh you’re talking about just the party identity of its two Senators, not that actual statehood itself is a foregone conclusion, amirite? If so, my b.
Correct

But mere intuition and common sense can or should lead to the two Democrat conclusion. Just consider it, how many Republican tyoes could possibly be resident voters in that island territory? Not rich vacationers and “snowbirds”…..the voting citizenry of PR. I don’t think I’m out of line in saying it’s a Democrat kind of place. And add to that Democrat community organizing for that purpose.
I won’t pretend to know the intricacies of PR’s internal politics. Was just observing that their Resident Commissioner is affiliated with the GOP at the federal level, and was re-elected in 2020.
The whole island seemingly can’t be a leftist moonbat haven in that instance.

From what I’ve picked up on when discussion on this topic pops up on various media outlets, the prevailing sentiment is that it’s a gimme for Democrats to the point that it’s a tactical political issue for them to support and pursue and precisely for the purpose of likely tilting Senate control to them for the foreseeable future in a political environment that has and will seemingly continue to produce nearly 50/50 Senate makeup - that’s the present day expectation. But, if accurate, a guaranteed 2 additional Democrat notches in the count tilts odds clearly in favor of Dems
But all that’s just sentiment. And you know what they say about sentiment: it’s sentimental.

The people who say forget about 2020 are now talking about others “conceding to the Dems “ hahahahaha

I’m against any new state for any reason because why would you frick up a perfect number of states in 50
But Puerto Rico has a way better claim to become a state than freakin DC does

No. I don’t support this. The reality, which too often you people refuse to accept, is that they will become a state eventually.
Provide me with your detailed plan for what you plan to do once that happens.

You got him now! This is the important shite you “conservatives” care about. Meanwhile, the left just took over another institution while you were busy crying about inconsequential bull shite.
Yeah adding PR as a state is certainly inconsequential

You may be the dumbest person on this board. Of course it is. In the grand scheme, it means nothing. I can’t help that you’re too easily distracted by the shiny trinkets your overlords dangle in front of you.

Admitting PR as a state would NOT be good for the GOP, but it is morally the right thing to do. They have been US citizens for more than a century. Among other things, they serve in the US military. But they cannot vote for President if they live on the island.

No, I’m from Baton Rouge. I sold my business to Schlumberger in 2013 and started another one a year later in Bryson City, NC.
