I'm guessing by this you only mean Barca, Real, Milan, United, Bayern? Because to me, anyone who makes the knockout rounds consistently is contending for Champions League titles.

This thread should help explain my feelings about this

20 mill would be enough for me but only sell Song if you are going to replace him.

West Ham has been desperate to sign people but they all refuse to go it seems.

I think you have been pretty spot on. Arsenal can't sign world class players, and there is no shame in that. There are only a handful of actual clubs who can. Wenger has done a tremendous job of buying young talent and developing them into world class talent, although I do think the recent exodus is rather indicative of where Arsenal stands in the football world.

Cazorla is very good. He may turn out to be world class. The same with Giroud. But if they were world class right now Arsenal more than likely wouldn't have gotten either.

There's a difference in "World Class" and "Top Players" IMHO.

Our grounds crew is world class. No debating that.

Don't get me wrong, I wish Liverpool was in Arsenal's tier. I'd love to be in tier 2.

I don't see one right now. The entire summer off and had his best season ever. M'villa isn't in the same league. Song is a great player and needs to be on the squad.

Yea but we need more steel in the midfield. Its not about not rating Song. Its about having an opportunity to get a better fit in the midfield. Song, Arteta, Diaby, Coquelin, and even Wilshere all have similar attributes as in they are more offensive.

Two different types of midfielders and M'Villa may not quite be where Song is but he is not far off. I also find a lot of Arsenal fans overrate Song a little bit. He is average at best defensively and sloppy with his passes and in possession at times(remember the cheap give away against Norwich 2nd to last game last year that lead to them drawing us and making us wait to lock up 3rd place). Now don't get me wrong he has tremendous talent and skill but he has faults. I would rather keep him and sell Arteta but that's not the current situation. Plus why wait to go through another last year on his contract drama filled summer next year?

Ok. So switch Milan for City and I had it. I personally think that's a terrible definition for a top player, but to each their own.

He is in my opinion. If we don't see eye to eye so be it. I don't see Barca trying to buy M'Villa.

According to Spanish press, Arsenal has said they're IN the Llorente bidding war.

Let's hope they get lots of cash for RvP.

Sahin to Liverpool if the twitterers are to be believed.

If it happens I believe we can thank our good friend Xabi for his influence on the matter.

Also according to twitter, Dempsey to Liverpool has been agreed upon. The only problem is Chuck Adam who is refusing a move to Fulham. But I believe this bit has probably already made the rounds on here.
