So this is interesting.

Not the word I would use. Devastating would be much more appropriate. This is what I have nightmares about.

We were beaten by Tottenham and Arsenal for Sigurdsson and Sahin.

Is this some new information or you're just leaning towards Sahin going to Arsenal after all of today's rumors?

We have no competition for Dempsey. The player and club want him to be sold. The ball is in our court. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Sure, I mean I get all that. But with the way this transfer season has been I wouldn't at all be surprised if Tottenham all of a sudden realized that they need a forward (which, they do) and swoop in as they are wont to do.

Signing Dempsey is inevitable at this point IMO. It just becomes when and how much.

I wonder how much Dempsey would have made Liverpool if they had bought him pre-USA tour. Guess it's tough to know, but will be interesting to compare the final fee to what they get him for now.

Yea that's an interesting point. Fulham initially valued him at £10-12m. I'm expecting Liverpool to pay £5-7 at this point

i'm guessing more toward 7 than 5, but IDGAF I just care about him being in a Liverpool kit. I'm buying that jersey the second he signs.

I honestly don't know if it would have made much a difference. Americans will buy that kit no matter when he transfers. Which reminds me of why ManU won't sell Chicharito anytime soon. His jerseys sell like hotcakes. ManU will own Mexico for as long as he plays for them.

Very true. It was much the same with Park until they recently let him go. Man U had the Asian market on lock.

Imagine if Donavan could have stayed at Everton and Dempsey would be at Liverpool and they would be playing that derby as rivals...

"Had" usually means we used to have it, but not anymore. Past tense. That's what I thought you were saying.
