Why would he want to go there and become a Carling Cup player?

Adebayor making Tottenham contenders again. Now they just need Moutinho or M'Vila

Adebaywhore is a talent, no doubt. But as you could see towards the end of last year he is a count and doesn't give a care about anything but himself. He has done it everywhere he goes. Starts off like a world class striker then his attitude gets out of control. Tiny Totts better hope Defoe is up for it this year because they will need him when Adebaywhore starts throwing temper tantrums.

Adebayor was the only player in the PL in double digit goals and assists last season. Defoe is nowhere near as good as Adebayor.

If he can have another repeat season, they will challenge for 3rd (unless AVB's system bombs in his first season).

I know what he did last year and it didn't surprise me but if you think he will repeat history says no. In fact, I bet this will be his last year at Spurs. I didn't think he would go back but I guess no one else wanted him. I know Defoe isn't as good but they will need a striker when Ade refuses to put in the effort and he will.

Challenging for third is different than contending, but Ade does make them better. Be interesting to see how it all meshes under AVB.

I consider it contending. In modern football, 3rd is almost as important as 1st.

Fair enough. We'll have to wait and see how it goes.

Well, they don't have veteran tools to hinder everything AVB wants to do. He's gonna have a fairer chance to succeed at Spurs because he won't have the amount of Old Guard ego he had to deal with at Chelsea.

Again, the only people who think AVB won't be a good manager are those Chelsea fans that think he single-handedly made them drop as far as they did in the EPL table. He's had success everywhere else he's been, young, and prefers an exciting brand of football (this is another problem he had at CFC). Time will tell, but I think he's a good manager, no matter what the Blues say.

AVB just walked into the perfect storm last year with Chelsea. He didn't help himself by trying to overhaul the club all in one year but I think he can be a good manager.

He may have a good soccer mind but has zero man management ability which is surprising considering the fact he learned from the master.

He has potential but only if he learned a huge lesson from his time at Chelsea.

Well, today I learned that if you play FIFA you 1)suck 2)not a REAL fan and 3)don't know anything about soccer. So it's pretty obvious AVB loves the FIFA.
