Yeah looks about as good as done, it sounds like the talks with Schürrle would have to hit a major unforeseeable snag to prevent the deal. I'm sure he's keen on the move, so that shouldn't happen. He's still really young, but he's really wasteful. His potential is pretty high if he can become a bit more clinical. He had the most 'clear cut' misses in the league last season, according to Opta.

Saw some of that against the US as well. Man I really hate to give up KdB for this guy, seems we are determined to have a German winger in the squad though I hoped Roman learned a lesson after the Marin disaster.

Schürrle is much better than Marin. He'll just be a guy who will be better at setting up than finishing, at least for a little while. He has moments where he looks world class, unfortunately he often follows it up with a derp.

He's a good player, but he still has a lot of learning to do. I'm not sure if he should jump so early in his career, I don't know how much more it benefits his development to go to Chelsea over staying at Leverkusen a few more years.

BBC reporter says we haven't met Fellaini's release clause, aren't in for Rooney and Jovetic isn't at the top of our striker wish list...
who knows what is true. I will reiterate that I would absolutely love to have Rooney. just adding him makes us fringe title contenders. he's significantly better than anyone we've been linked to and is perfect for our style of play.
