I agree with you. Apparently, Utd are timid to pay that amount because of his age (27) and his injury history. We need this type of midfielder though, so I would love to see us just splash the extra bit of cash to get him.

jeremy wilson of the telegraph (reliable on arsenal info) says we prefer not to deal TV5 to ManU, but would listen to cash/swap offers.
after thought, the only ManU players (remotely attainable) i'd be down for would be Evans, Smalling, Zaha or Welbeck. seems really unlikely they'd swap CBs though and Welbeck might/should be pricier. probably zaha, since he'd be available on the cheap.
