quote:You mean the season when Kompany forgot how to defend. That definitely had to do with CB transfers. Also as if 1 seasons somehow made your point when they've supposed been changing the back for the past 8 years, yet have been very stout defensively over many of those years. Please keep making shite up.

Arsenal have taken a significant step towards signing Karim Benzema after Real Madrid accepted a £48m bid for the striker.

I'll be honest a move to Aresenal for Benzema won't surprise me....in fact I've expected if before now. I think that with Henry's obvious influence on the Gunners and Karim it just makes sense.
Now if this means for Real that somehow Rafa has convinced CRon to play up top and Bale can actually do something in the middle behind him this might be OK....I'm still skeptical on both of those things. Although that would allow us to get James, Isco, Modric, and Kroos on the field at the same time in their most dangerous spots.
I hate to see Benzema go for real.

Looks like Wolfsburg were lining up Dries Mertens to be a Kevin De Bruyne's replacement, but Napoli rejected their offer.

Well, were it up to Spanish readers, RMs XI would look like this (given of course, DeGea doesn´t come):

Asier Illarramendi is on the verge of leaving Real Madrid. It only remains to be seen where his destination will be. He has been linked with Liverpool, his former club, Real Sociedad, and now, via La Gazzetta, with a move to Serie A champions Juventus. According to the Italian daily, Giuseppe Marotta has been in touch with Real Madrid to ask about the player's availability. After the summer arrivals of Casemiro and Mateo Kovacic, added to Luka Modric's recovery from injury, the club are unlikely to stand in Illarramendi's way.
Juventus are eager to finalize their squad for the upcoming season and are chasing several options: Porto left back Alex Sandro, Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler, and Chelsea outcast Juan Cuadrado. However, with Sami Khedira and Claudio Marchisio sidelined for the start of the season, Massimiliano Allegri could do with some reinforcements in midfield. Illarramendi will have a good friend already in place at the Juventus Stadium: he and Álvaro Morata, who made the move to Turin from Madrid last summer, were teammates when Spain won the under-21 Euros in Israel.

The fans at the Bernabeu would love that.
Honestly I may be OK with it too.
