Arda wants out of Atleti: "We run too much here"
For many, 'less is more', and that certainly appears to be the case for Arda Turan. He did not use those exact words, but the Turk has explained his reasons for wanting to leave Atlético de Madrid: the money on offer at other clubs and the physical demands of Simeone's playing style.
The club had wanted the player to say exactly want he wanted, rather than listen to his agent. Following the trip to China, that conversation finally took place over the phone and the midfielder apologised for Ahmed Bulut's behaviour, but confirmed what his agent had said: that he wants out.
He wants to leave because he is struggling with the physical demands of Cholo's game. He would rather play in a system in which he is exempt from defensive duties. Arda missed several big games with what seemed to be minor injuries, including the last game of the 2013/14 season, the Champions League final, the last game of last season and the key game in their quest for third place, against Granada.
Atlético have told the Turk the conditions under which he may leave the club. His buy-out clause is €41m. Although they may not insist on as much, the club will only listen to serious offers.

Manchester United will demand a world-record fee for a goalkeeper from Real Madrid for David de Gea.
Old Trafford officials are not concerned by the fact the Spaniard, 24, only has a year left on his contract and can leave for nothing next summer.
They believe the value of keeping De Gea for another year far outweighs any bid below the £32.6m Juventus paid Parma for Gianluigi Buffon in 2001.
suck my balls Madrid
pretty sure Madrid would get the better part of this deal

Looks like it
Its coming down to pride and principle.
The reported offers Madrid are talking about making are an insult.
United could make that in revenue and tv with DDG in goal and performing well in the league and Europe.

Apparently Xherdan Shaqiri is close to a 9 mil move to Stoke.
Does anyone else feel like that is a total steal?

The English media would have a new favorite foreigner to attack for diving.
Sounds like Damien Duff is going to St. Pat's.
