When I lived in San Diego for work about 6 years ago I made it a point to try In N Out. I was very confused after eating there as to what the hell the fuss was all about

Cook Out is the GOAT fast food place, though, even if we just limit it to burgers

None of those places are Griff's
You live in Ruston? The only Griff's location I've ever known existing was just south of campus on California/Hwy 80. I haven't been back to Ruston in forever but seems like I heard Griff's isn't even open anymore.
Side note - I always found Griff's to be one of the most overrated, niche burger joints out there, given it's reputation. shite service too. I get the nostalgia angle, though. Everyone has their college late night/hungover morning greasy burgers memories.

Griff's in Ruston is still open, and there are locations in Shreveport/Bossier too.

I grew up in Ruston
I'm from Monroe but moved to Ruston to play baseball and go to school. My parents wound up moving there too so I've got pretty deep roots in that area. We probably know a lot of the same people.
btw Don't ask how a baseball player from North LA fell in love with soccer and completely out of love with baseball. Because the answer is I don't know. My guess is because soccer is a better sport
And to be fair, I never LOVED watching baseball on TV or in person. Just played because I was good. If I could go back in time, I would jump head first into playing soccer. It looks so fun and the atmosphere at a match is completely different (and better) than a baseball game.

Griff's has the greasiest floor in America.
It sure does! That's funny man. The first thing that comes to mind when I think of that shithole are those greasy arse floors
