As a non-casual fan, the 2018 World Cup is now ONLY about rooting for Liverpool players (wherever country they play for) to be eliminated early.

It also might end up being Messi and certainly Ronaldo's last World Cup. Skipping those two guys playing in potentially their final World Cup would be the equivalent of not tuning in to watch Jordan in the 1998 NBA finals because your favorite team is not playing.
