Obviously Barca are the best team in the world, but with a new CB signing and Fabregas + TV5 healthy, I don't think they would destroy us like they did last year. Our starting XI against them when Messi destroyed us was weak (No Fabregas, no Arshavin, no RvP, no Song, Silvestre started...) and his first two goals that night were thanks to some horrific defending (sounds familiar, I know).

If we don't sign anybody, and are unhealthy, we will get destroyed by any of those clubs.

But remember, Barca have upgraded since last season. Villa >> Zlatan.

I would gladly accept either German club. Munich are a tough out in Europe, but they are playing some pretty average football right now.

You forgot the part about BM not being a good team.

Yeah Barca have improved, no doubt. That's why I added the caveat about our CBs. That's where the loss of Sagna will hurt. Trying to contain Villa and Pedro cutting in from the left won't be easy. I'm just saying the lineup when we got thrashed by them wasn't nearly 100% and we didn't have a DM in our lineup.

That said, I very much want to avoid them. The longer we stay in the CL the more $$$ we get, which is all I'm really hoping for in this CL campaign because I seriously doubt we'll win it.

We really need to pony up the funds and sign Cahill from Bolton. He isn't cup tied and would provide an immediate upgrade at the position.

Wouldn't mind that. I would just like, for once, to watch an Arsenal match without cringing whenever the opposition has it in our half.

It would lower my blood pressure for sure.

We have a 1/4 chance of drawing Barca in the next round. Why all of the worrying?

Also, is Sagna out for both legs or just the first?

I am concerned about other things like maybe the EPL. I want to address the CB fiasco and Cahill makes the most sense to me.

I hope it is only the first because he has been playing really well.
