From an on-field calls perspective, I thought the ref did pretty well. The Bruno elbow was behind him, so you can’t blame him there. Could have called a Joelinton foul, but it wasn’t a horrendous no-call in live action. Both of those are on VAR, and he was never asked to go to the monitor.
Besides that, he kept this match in control about as well as anyone could have. Other refs would have let it boil over.
