Lennon was great for us last year, and I like that we are building depth on the wing, but as you said we need to fill those other 3 positions first

I want Lennon, and if we had a reason for this move right now then kudos for getting it done.
But I'm not sure why it happened now, and I'm nervous about whether it impacts other signings.

Hopefully this is because we called Tottenham's bluff and they dropped their asking price. Rumor was they were asking for way too much money earlier in the summer

Point being this should be, and is to most of the sites I'm reading, a U21 signing, and not one of the three Martinez has been talking about.
There will be a lot of pissed of supporters if Martinez thinks this satisfies the CB cover.

I guess I missed that. So we still need 3 players. Though Martinez apparently said 2 players earlier this week. I guess he's happy with Kone for now

Everton defender Leighton Baines will miss the first 12 weeks of the season and could be out of action until December, Everton have revealed.
The England international underwent surgery on the same ankle that he required surgery on in May, and will now be out of action for between 12 and 14 weeks according to the official site.
On Saturday, Martinez said, “Everything had been perfect in Leighton’s programme and he worked extremely hard in pre-season.
“He looked refreshed, he looked strong and he look at a really, really good level.
“Then, in training, he blocks a ball and it hits him exactly in the same area where he had surgery [in May], with the unfortunate result that he’s going to be out for a while.
“It’s one of those tough moments that you have to take as a player but he knows we’re going to help him immensely, everyone will support him and we have to make the most of his other role, which is to be part of the group and be a leader while he’s getting back to full fitness

I slept through this one, but looks like it was a great performance all around. I absolutely love the start the the season that Barkley has had, and Kone with the Slim Shady haircut has turned into a beast.
Hopefully we'll continue to see Martinez play with two strikers this year.
