Oh and I’m not a scot .. I actually pull for England when Germany isn’t an option, but it’s more self deprecation in regards to England in similar fashion as I do w Gamecock sports.

England were much better than anything Löw could have schemed for...the Werner experiment fell flat, Tommy Fußball missed the best chance of the game, and Germany just seemed sluggish for much of the match.
That said, another part of me was thrilled to see those crowd reactions. There’s real passion, and the fact that there are old dudes who have never seen a meaningful win over Germany...it kinda didn’t bother me all that much that my squad lost.
I don’t care who wins it all now, but let’s just keep the 120 min matches coming.

I don't get why the first round of the quarters have to be on Friday.. why not Saturday and Sunday instead?
