This dude is in his own little world most of the time. I've never seen someone get so butt-hurt over a player or a team before.

I like Messi much more, but Ronaldo is much better than Messi. He can do so many more things.

Butthurt? We are about to do the double, with John Terry as captain. I am not the one "butt hurt". I know it's killing you guys though.

Oh and just to address your bandwagon comment, I've been a Barcelona fan for 10 years now...long before they hit their current run. So you can GTFO with that nonsense.

John Terry is a Chelsea legend but a world legend? Hardly...

And I don't care that you're about to do the double as I don't follow the EPL.

Why include Liverpool? The only major trophy we've won since our last domestic in '89 was the CL in '05.

I don't see how being a Scouser fan is bandwagon. To be honest we haven't been very successful silverware-wise for awhile now.

Because I know more random Liverpool fans than any other team. You are being blind if you don't think Pool have a huge "bandwagon" following. It's not a bad thing, I'm just saying it's pretty retarded to call out Chelsea like we are ones with a bunch of random fans. 98% of European soccer fans in America are in some way bandwaggoners.

Were you born in Barcelona? How many times have you been to Barcelona? How many times have you seen Barcelona play in person?

We must have opposite experiences. I am one of two Liverpool fans I know, and I have a shite ton of friends who follow soccer religiously overseas. The majority of the people I know who follow EPL are those of Chelsea and have started following that team at some point in the last 3 years.

And I'm just saying thats how it is in my experience. I used to watch my friends drop one by one to United. Now everyone I meet that is starting to follow soccer picks Chelsea. No one ever picks Liverpool or Arsenal even really. Mainly United and Chelsea.

I totally agree, but can you blame them? We don't have the network deals with the EPL for people to be able to watch Sunderland v. Burnley or Portsmouth v. Bolton. They only televise the big games and top 3rd teams.

It's a great city all around with a lot of stuff to do, even if you're not a fan of FC Barcelona. I highly recommend going if given the chance.

The club scene is second to none in my opinion.

Yea that's interesting one of the reasons I picked Chelsea (aside from my love for Essien) is because people I know hate them and I wanted to be different.

Just from what I see walking around the street I see far and away most Barca and United stuff.

No, I don't blame them at all. I readily admit I am one of them and unless you are from one of those European countries or have immediate family from there I consider you to be a bandwagon fan. If you live 3,000-5,000 miles away and only get small doses of international soccer a year it's only natural to follow a team that has players you have heard of or that you see on TV.

That kinda sucks actually. I'd rather Terry on the pitch than Dawson or King.

As a fan of Spurs, I really don't want these two to be on their back line against the USA...it would suck to root against them

that and they are really, really good

Of the "Big 4", I prefer Liverpool. That's after just watching FSC for the past few years. I disliked ManU from the first time I watched them. I liked Chelsea for awhile, but that's just b/c they were challenging ManU. The more I watch Chelsea and learn about their players, the less I like them. Just seem like a bunch of bitches.

I think you see a lot of casual EPL fans saying they like Liverpool, b/c Liverpool is just easier to like than ManU and Chelsea and you see a lot of those teams.

I like Pool, but I don't claim to be some big fan of them or anyone else. It's hard to claim die-hard when you've only followed soccer a few years.

I've heard great things about the city from several of people. I was trying to decide whether to go to Spain (mostly to do the running of the Bulls) this summer or spend a couple of weeks out west until we found out my wife was getting laid off about a month ago. Not in our best interest to plan a multiple thousand dollar trip right now until we get that situation settled though so it'll have to wait.

So sick of seing ManUre jerseys. They are by far and away the biggest bandwagon team in the history of sports. I had a guy in my HIST 4047 class last semester that always talked about them with the professor in front of the class and you could tell he knew nothing about them (the professor was a fan too). So aggrivating. I wanted to call him out on it so bad.

I hear that.

But back to JT, believe it or not I felt bad for him after the UCL final against Man Utd.

And of course I wish no injury on any player no matter how much i hate them, though there would be some comedic justice if Bridge were to return

I'm obviously bias but I really don't understand the hate for Chelsea. Aside from Drogba, I don't really see how any of their players are that unlikeable. Terry makes more sense after the "affair" but even that was blown way out of proportion. It was his ex-teammates ex-girlfriend. Still not the most honorable thing but a big difference than teammates wife.

a lot of the Chelsea hate is a result of Roman Abramovich's spending and what it represents in the sport today. Or at least that's why I can't stand Chelsea.

It's like in the FIFA xbox game when you eventually accumulate so much money that you can buy anybody you want and all of your players have 95+ ratings. Sorta saps the fun out of it
