None taken my friend. If we have to lose to anyone, I'd always wish it be Arsenal. They're the only team in the EPL that I don't have any problem at all with. I wish nothing but the best for the Goons.

actually this board has put a funny spin on fandom. several English Arsenal friends of mine despise Liverpool with an intensity just short of United and Tottenham.
We have an interesting way of evaluating other fanbases within an online forum context, I think. It seems to be far different from the way Englishmen have savage historical and territorial biases.

I've noticed the same. The older Pool ex pats at Finns HATE Arsenal. They think I'm out of my mind for pulling for you guys. It really is crazy how the sociology of this board developed. The way I see it:
1 - How can you hate Wenger? He brings beauty to an otherwise ugly English game.
2 - How can you hate any of the players? There aren't any arse holes or douche bags at Arsenal. In fact most are the opposite.
3 - If you really are a Scouse supporter then the one thing that you hate more than Satan himself is The Rag. Who do you pull for to prevent them from getting even more titles to throw in our face?
Chelsea? lol. Same thing, different color.
Tottenham? Aren't good enough.
Man City? Everyone but me hates Man City for understandable reasons.
Arsenal is what you're left with, and although they aren't title challengers this year they usually are. The Londoners breaking United hearts with a last day title win over them on goal differential (sound familiar Gunners?) would be the next best thing than Pool winning it in my eyes.
I wish everlasting pain on that club, in the most malicious way possible.

Haha I know. The sting from '88-'89 must still be burning on his soul. So glad I wasn't old enough to follow soccer at that point or I'd probably feel the same way he does, and as a result get a lot less free beer from you on game days.

I don't like Arsenal...I just dislike them less than Chelsea, Spurs, City, or UTD. I do respect Wenger and if any other big club beside Liverpool were to win the league, I guess Arsenal would bother me least. But I'm not angry with them at all because of this weekend...we absolutely battered them, utter domination in every aspect of the match except the stupid scoreboard.
