OK fam. Final day of this international break with games returning in November, including El Hex.
USA-NZ thread later.
Big matchup between Australia and Japan out in Asia and Iran-South Korea in the other group is a solid tie.
Not sure the pick of the games in Europe as they all look like they suck today. I guess Slovakia-Scotland?
Anyhoo, here's the list and the tables where relevant.
All Times CDT
UEFA Qualifying - Matchday 3 of 10
Group C
Czech Republic - Azerbaijan, 1:45 p.m. (FS+)
Germany - Northern Ireland, 1:45 p.m. (ESPN3)
Norway - San Marino, 1:45 p.m. (ESPN3)
Group E
Kazakhstan - Romania, 11 a.m. (FS2)
Denmark - Montenegro, 1:45 p.m. (ESPN3)
Poland - Armenia, 1:45 p.m. (FS2)
Group F
Lithuania - Malta, 1:45 p.m. (FS2Go)
Slovakia - Scotland, 1:45 p.m. (FS2Go)
Slovenia - England, 1:45 p.m. (ESPN2)
CONMEBOL Qualifying - Matchday 10 of 18
Matchday 10 which means we begin seeing return fixtures in South America. At the halfway point, no real surprises except that Chile are lagging 5 points both auto qualification and fifth place for the playoff spot. They have some serious work to do and could stand to give Peru a skull dragging tonight. Colombia-Uruguay the pick of the fixtures today.
Bolivia - Ecuador, 3 p.m. (beIN; beIN Connect 3)
Colombia - Uruguay, 3:30 p.m. (beIN español; beIN Connect 4)
Chile - Peru, 6:30 p.m. (beIN; beIN Connect 4)
Argentina - Paraguay, 6:30 p.m. (beIN español; beIN Connect 3)
Venezuela - Brazil, 7:30 p.m. (beIN Connect 5; beIN following CHI-PER)
AFC Qualifying - Matchday 4 of 10
Huge game in Group B between Australia and Japan as they are the favorites to qualify. Japan has been less than impressive in their opening fixtures and have been doing only barely enough to get by.
Group A
Uzbekistan - China, 8 a.m. (ESPN3)
Iran - South Korea, 9:45 a.m. (ESPN3)
Qatar - Syria, 11 a.m.
Group B
Australia - Japan, 4 a.m. (ESPN3)
Iraq - Thailand, 7:30 a.m.
Saudi Arabia - United Arab Emirates, 12:45 p.m.

Early game already done. Australia 1-1 Japan
If Saudi vs UAE produces a winner, that's your Group B leader through 4/10 rounds

Big rebound win for Uzbekistan against China. Will remain top of Group A if no winner in Tehran. Just saw Iran's goalkeeper throw one from box to box and nearly created a chance. Can't say I've seen one get thrown that far.

Great goal by Sardar Azmoun puts Iran deservedly ahead. They've bossed Korea in the opening 30. Mr. P in shortly to slobber on FC Rostov's boy.

Massive back to back wins for Iran over Uzbekistan and Korea. Top of group after four games unbeaten on 10 pts.

Kazakhstan still level 0-0 at half
It's progress I guess.
