Crew owner using the Stan Kroenke playbook of being a dickjaw owner and screwing over the fans on the way out.
They closed 2 gates before the game, so 5 minutes before the game started, half the fans were still trying to get in. NBCSports writer claims it was to show a half filled stadium on TV(Game was a sell out)

I also read that they don't normally use metal detectors at Crew Stadium, but for the playoffs they are and don't have enough for the other gates.
That seems dumb as hell and very convenient.
