Bump this thread. Oldham Athletic is currently last in League 2 right now and on their way to relegation out of the Football League. I cannot imagine the feelings of their older supporters right now.

True. Oldham really have no history of top flight football. They just happened to catch promotion right as the Premier League was founded.

I don’t think you can really look at current league position for this, but Oldham is probably the only really surprising one for me. The rest are (ETA: or were) decently prominent teams even if like 5+ haven’t been relevant for years

Bump. Oldham was relegated out of the Football League today. The first and only of the original members to have suffered this fate.
