is vanderbilt playing football there still on the table?
Last I heard the AD decided to keep playing on campus. I do believe that there's a chance they could end up playing a season or two at the soccer stadium if they decide to rebuild or renovate the football stadium.
Vandy doesn't have a lot of room to expand in the area they are in so who knows if they may change their minds again.

The quality of MLS in both atmosphere and team quality is unrecognizable from 10 years ago and it is making Europe fans melt.
Let’s pump the breaks
For every Atlanta and LAFC you have a Chicago and New England
Having guys like Vela is great to watch but seeing him embarrass 5 dudes like he did the other night isn’t good for the image of the quality of players.

Excellent choice for a club or clubs that don't have the capability to fill large stadiums.

Lots of what ifs.........
And dunno why you are laughing about the Vela goal
That was utterly embarrassing defending and goal keeping

It was reported in May by the Athletic that NE is close to finalizing a site for a stadium. Their attendance has seen a pretty large increase (about 5k-10k per match, and I'd argue it's even more than that) since hiring Arena.
Bridgeview is in the suburbs and people in the city just don't want to go there. They will easily see an increase in attendance the first year they are at Soldier Field. They are already looking for a site in Chicago for a new stadium.
You see a few goals like Vela's goal every year in the EPL, Bundesliga, La Liga, etc. yet they never use it as an indictment on the league.

Yeah NE needs a rebrand. new stadium and finally update that terrible logo. The team has so much potential if they played in Boston.
Bridgeview was a terrible location to put a stadium. A pain in the arse to get to if you live in Chicago and don't have a car. You can take a train to Midway and then a long bus ride to the stadium (which probably doesn't run at night).

Nashville will have several options for rivalries.
Chicago and KC needed a real rival, and St.Louis gave them both, that. I-70 series in 2022 with KC

Yes I know there has been talk and plans for both teams
That doesn’t mean it will fix the atmosphere
Dribbling circles around multiple players making them fall down or the defenders taking wild swings at the ball. That would be on a permanent highlight real in a higher level league. I really can’t recall a goal like that in the EPL in a long time.
The only player who really does that is Messi and well he’s Messi
In those other leagues you would probably see a defender take him out if it got to that point

And that's somehow better defending?

If it prevents a goal Um yeaaa
But you never played
But you never played

By giving up a penalty? They had better odds of preventing a goal by letting the play continue.
And I think 2 of those players already had a yellow (Godoy and Jungwirth). If they just took him out, it's likely a penalty and a red.

I think we will for sure be one of the top places to go for traveling fans. When we played Atlanta United for our very first friendly I had heard they brought in around 2 to 3k fans. We will probably have to open up more sections at Nissan for them.

You rather take your chances with a pen over an open goal
Posted on 8/23/19 at 4:35 pm to StraightCashHomey21
You had a much better chance of a defensive stop during the run of play than with a pen. I don't see how that's really debatable.
By the time he was anywhere close to an "open goal", there was no one around him. The keeper had a better chance of stopping him there than he would have with a pen (and he had already scored a pen earlier).

If you are going to go pro/rel (which I’m all for) you have to get rid of the current roster construction.
