The club have already made inquiries about several potential candidates to replace Paratici.

I’m not sure about this. Maybe it’s better for him to move on, but I think the summer would be better. Would leave us with only three senior CBs

Tottenham Hotspur is pleased to announce the appointment of Carlos Raphael Moersen as Director of Football Operations, a newly created role as part of the Club’s approach to build a modern, high-performance football structure to drive long-term success. Known as Rafi, he joins from City Football Group, where he spent more than a decade in senior roles across a global football model, most recently playing a central role in player transactions as Director of Football Transactions. Rafi’s appointment is part of a sustained focus on strengthening the foundations that support performance on the pitch, which include the appointment of Dan Lewindon as Performance Director, who will join us next month, and increased investment in our Academy to enhance the pipeline of talent ready for first team men's football. Rafi will lead our football administration, player care, and training ground operations, and join the Club’s Executive Leadership Team. A key part of his role will be overseeing women’s football, where we will continue to drive a renewed focus and ambition for Tottenham Hotspur Women. Sporting Director, Johan Lange, said: “We are delighted to welcome Rafi to the Club in the newly created role of Director of Football Operations. He was the outstanding candidate from a highly competitive process and brings a wealth of experience in this critical area of our football operation. “His appointment is an important step as we continue to strengthen our football structure and support long-term success.”

Like this. Feels like we are addressing the clearly lacking infrastructure that’s resulting in so many injuries.

Learning how City recruits, especially for their academy, is a huge plus

Hopefully this is the first step of Spurs having some sort of footballing identity again in the next year or two

Some clarity on role
quote:
Rafi =/= Paratici - separate role entirely that was carved out around the same time Fabio rejoined Spurs fully Reports to Lange for Men's football, Vinai for Women's Will lead the north London club's football administration, player care and liaison, as well as training ground operations With his experience in contract negotiations it would seem likely that he will take on that role at Spurs. Spurs are hoping that Moersen will add new experience and expertise to their staff as a highly-regarded talent in the industry, having been key in City's core team planning and executing as well as player trading within City Football Group

New assistant coach. Does mean we’re backing Frank?
quote:
We are delighted to welcome John Heitinga to the Club as First Team Assistant Coach, joining Thomas Frank’s coaching staff. John began his coaching career in 2016 following retirement as a player, working with Ajax’s youth teams and took interim charge of the Dutch giants’ senior side in January, 2023, for the remainder of the season. Ahead of the following campaign, he joined West Ham United as a First Team Assistant before being appointed as Liverpool’s Assistant Coach in July, 2024, helping the Reds to the Premier League title last term. Most recently, he departed Merseyside and returned to Ajax to become Head Coach in May, 2025. As a player, John made more than 400 club appearances for Ajax, Atletico Madrid, Everton, Fulham and Hertha BSC. In addition, the former centre-back earned 87 caps for the Netherlands and represented his country at numerous major tournaments. Head Coach Thomas Frank said: “John is a great addition to our coaching staff. His ability, personality and character will add huge value both on and off the pitch. “He had an impressive playing career across Europe – including five years in the Premier League – and with the Dutch national team. “As a former defender, that will be one of his main responsibilities on the training pitch, and he brings great coaching and management experiences from all levels of the game, which will really help us moving forward.”

From what the Ajax fans are saying he was never cut out to be a head manager. May have realized him itself and is just cozying up to a top club as an assistant.

I’m willing to believe he was the brains behind Liverpool’s title team and not the horrific coach at Ajax

Honestly, Richy stayed healthy longer than I expected this season

Bissouma being back and playing would be an interesting. Maybe give him playing time to increase his value?
