the only way I could see it being a legitimate mantle is if City buckles for lack of European competency. they don't have a substantial track record but I've got to think they're now a side brimming with confidence and momentum.

I think you underestimate just how good Dortmund can be. Last year they didn't really prepare well for the CL, they would play a full squad the Saturday before a CL game and they didn't have the depth to overcome that. I think they have better depth.
