Bob Bradley made significantly better personnel decisions that Jurgen.

I honestly think I'm more tactically aware than Klinsmann. There's no reason that the head coach of the national team should have those deficiencies.

Edu isn't as bad as people make him out to be on here

Edu is good enough to be in the 23 man USA roster every time we take the field.

tactically he does his job, not going to wow anyone with his play going forward. he's rather bland, but certainly not horrible...
and i've watched him every time he plays for usmnt, i've never had the chance to watch him play through green glasses

Edu would be my first choice right now for the CDM position.

Edu is good enough to be in the 23 and performed well enough as a CB to continue to be called in.

Today it sounds like he played ahead of Beckerman, he should be given no offensive responsibilities. That's on Klinsmann.

I was just thinking this. His is not very knowledgeable tactically but he made the right call ups. Jurgen may have a better understanding of the game than Bob but he does not bring in the right players to exemplify his strategies on the field.

I know that Dempsey isn't really fit but it seems like he's been kind of anonymous in the Klinnsman era. I say that knowing he's scored important goals under Klinnsman but even then (the Italy game for example) he was pretty quiet most of the time.

Noticed this video the other days with all the transfer talk and it showed how he completely took over games for Fulham: LINK

Doesn't seem to happen for the national team, even with Jurggen playing him centrally. Part of it is probably the shitty central midfield outside of Bradley.

Anyway, the main thing I took out of tonight though was how horrible Goodson is with the ball. Edu made Beckerman (who was bad) look decent. Terrible performance overall. I can't think of any one player that played well.

He is absolutely not good enough to be in the 23.

Edu was fricking terrible but he's certainly good/versatile enough to be on the 23. Let's don't act like we have a shite load of good players to call up.

ETA:If Juan Agudelo was playing over Jozy, we would have RAPED.

Bob actually had some smart tactical moments. He's "efficient." it's never sexy but it worked often.

Jurgen is more adventurous but I think he's a little too adventurous for our player pool sometimes. You have to know your strengths.

He absolutely is. He has a certain skillset that needs to be used in a certain way. A late game defensive sub is probably his role, still that's worthy of a roster spot.

If anybody wants some more sunshine...... In the previous three cycles ('02, '06 and '10) we'd lost exactly once to a Caribbean nation, home OR away, qualifying, Gold Cup or friendly.

2008, to T&T, after we had clinched qualification, in a game that featured such luminaries as Chris Rolfe and Danny Szetela.

This was the best Klinsmann could do with the best players he could find.

Let that sink in for a bit.

His reliance on DMB and later Bornstein killed him, but he did do significantly better in picking new players. Feilhaber, Altidore, Davies, Gomez,Lichaj, Agude recalling Buddle, were all successful Bradley experiments.

Right now JK has Johnson, Cameron, and Boyd as his succesful "finds".

Danny Williams has done nothing in like 8 appearances for the national team. Jermaine Jones has almost as many yellow cards as caps. He's a disaster waiting to happen every single game. Beckerman is a decent emergency option, but we're screwed if he continues to start.

Granted, we had a poor roster (the fact that three injuries can make for a poor roster is disturbing), and they didn't create much of anything in open play, and Luton Shelton hit the free kick of his life, but they dominated. Horrible stuff.
