Messi plays into it too, although it's harder to fault the party actually trying to do something. Argentina looked a lot better towards the end where he wasn't just trying to pick the ball up and run through six people

They could prove me wrong, but I just don't think this Argentina team is that great by their lofty standards. Their qualifying struggles were no fluke. Despite all their attacking talent, they rely too much on Messi, and their defense is very suspect. They just don't play well as a team.
I'll stick with my prediction that they get bounced in the Round of 16.
