Downloading apps on iPad and iphone

My son likes to download apps to play on my iPad. Naturally they end up on my phone too. Is there a away for them to just be on the iPad and not show up on my phone? Thanks.

Yes. On the iPhone go to settings > ITunes & App Store and turn off automatic downloads for apps.
