Haven't hung the TCL 8-Series 65 yet. Though I do have 43 inch 5-series TCL's in my living room and patio and they function fine. I expect this version's picture to be "closer" to an OLED after calibration. Will report back once I get it up and tuned in.

65" TV is just fine for me that's about the perfect size above a fireplace.

I just got a 77” and have begun the wait for a 100”+ screen to become reasonably priced. But I have a dedicated space for the TV that can accommodate a larger screen. If I was one to put a TV above a fireplace, then a massive screen would probably look off.

I almost picked up the TCL 8 before I went with a C9. The tech behind it was super interesting I just wasn’t ever able to see one in person so I didn’t pull the trigger.

The C9 was at the top of my list. Being OLED, it has an outstanding picture. But when the TCL 8 went on sale for half the cost, the decision was made. Can't go wrong with the C9, for sure.

100 inches? Geez, at that size I’d probably go projector.

That said, I think ~75 is optimal. Maybe I’m just spoiled.
