Looking at one east of the Airport. I think it might be east enough to be in an ok area past New Orleans east. The neighborhood looks fine on Google street view and the neighborhood adjacent looks fine. It’s between Sherwood and major st. Any chance it’s safe “ish”

This doesn’t make sense. There is a Sherwood Drive, but that is out in the East. If you don’t know the city, you should just get a hotel.

ETA: I think I now see where you are talking about. In the East. I’d be reluctant to drive through that area in broad daylight. My advice above stands.

I was following your other thread you posted on this topic in the OT Lounge. This may not be what you want to hear, but since you are seeking advice, I will give you mine.

Instead of identifying various Air B&Bs in New Orleans East (you haven't received a positive recommendation yet) you should try to budget a bit more money for lodgings and find a reasonably priced hotel closer to downtown.

You think these places you are asking about are bargains, but there is a reason for that. You get what you pay for.

If you are going to stay that far away from the major tourist attractions, I would much rather stay in Jefferson Parish, Eastbank or even Westbank.

Stay in Luling dude they have cheap hotels in the area and it’s 20 min from airport. Way less traffic then going in the city.

Second the Luling rec. A great place from which to explore Boutte.

In all seriousness, at least you can go to Mosca's.

What’s the end goal here? Save money? If so, further from the city the better.

You won’t be walking to any coffee shops for a latte though!
