Can those that have been post where they stayed? Also, did you hire a driver to get you to and from airport and/or between interior and coast areas?

We did our Honeymoon in Belize and did a beach/island split resort. Belizean Dreams was the beach resort and Coco Plum Island was the island resort. It was an all inclusive package that included flight from airport to Hopkins Village and they pick you up from the airport. It also included 3 excursions. We did the Xunantunich Mayan Ruin and a hike to the waterfall while at the beach resort. We did snorkeling at the island resort. You have a tour guide for each excursion.

We had a great time. Food was great at both locations and service was fantastic. Really liked the Coco Plum and the chilled vibe. We went right after it opened again during Covid in 2020 so outside of the snorkeling we were the only 2 people on the excursions. Highly recommend.

I stayed at Almond Beach Resort in Hopkins in 2019. Flew to Belize City and drove down (2+hours) on a resort shuttle. Would fly to Dangriga if I had to do it again. We hired a local driver once to go in the town, and I just walked down to Hamanasi's dock (about 100m) for the dive trips.

Last year I stayed at Victoria House on Ambergris Caye. Flew to Belize City and took the short flight over to the island. Victoria House sent someone to pick us up. We got a golf cart for all island travel and were picked up at the dock for the diving.

Both resorts were nice, and I would recommend either. Hopkins is very small and there's nothing to do or see there. Long boat rides to dive sites. VH was more convienent and had access to a town instead of a village. Dive sites in Ambergris Caye were 5 minutes out.

You fly into St. Thomas (STT) and then take a 15 or so minute ferry to St. John from Red Hook.

We take the ferry from Crown Bay. 5 mins from the airport and 35 min ferry ride. I wouldn't suggest it if you easily get seasick though.

Yeah, the ferry ride from Red Hook is easier to handle though you do have to taxi to get to Red Hook.

The ferry from red hook also runs every 1/2-1hr (depending on time of day) vs only three times a day from Charlotte Amalie. My flights never line up to make the Charlotte ferry.

Crown Bay Ferry.....taxi from the airport to the dock. Check in with the ferry then head to Tickles (very short walk) to have drinks and start Island Time.

we took Crown Bay a couple of weeks ago for the first time. way better than the taxi ride across STT. For our family of 4, it was cheaper to do Crown Bay and it actually lined up with our flight arrival.

Drinks and food at Tickles were good and it had some nice people watching opportunities and great way to start your trip after getting out of the airport.

Some islands are better than others but it just depends what you want to do. Sit on a beach? Hike a mountain? Sail around? Bathe in luxury at a resort with plenty of dining options?

Turks and Caicos is my favorite beach (several). Antigua is a close second probably. St Lucia is one of coolest islands though with so much scenery and beauty. St John has some great beaches too.

I’ve had a ton of clients look at Antigua and St Lucia lately. I feel like those are the trending islands for 2025.
