I have been to that enoteca too. That is the one inside the fort in Montalcino. The enoteca in Greve is also worth driving out of your way for.

No cost for the tasting. We know the sommelier. That was five couples and I think between us we ordered about 20 cases so the price at the end of the day for that much Brunelle was steep.

Yes. The enoteca in Greve is awesome but you pay per tasting. That triangular piazza in Greve is one of my favorites. There’s a butcher shop that dates back to the 1600’s or so.

How about Antinori Marchesi?

Haven't been there but very good wines. Tignanello is an outstanding wine and priced accordingly.

I have been to Antinori. It is about a 10 minute drive from the villa I recommend above.

We're going to put him on a Tuscan trip to remember!

Antinori is centuries old but the facility is big and modern. There is a glass walled tasting room and a restaurant upstairs on the terrace level. Delicious wines.
There are many smaller wineries to visit but this is one of the big ones. Banfi is another.

I find the tours are more involving at the smaller vineyards. Many times you will get the tour from the owner.
