No problem. I have a ton of more info like I said on food, things to do, hikes, etc. all saved. If you need any of it just let me know I don't mind sharing at all.

No more testing required as of this weekend to get back in US. My contact at port in BVI said they have meetings planned next week to consider new rules in place there.

We are finally moving in the right direction.

Hopefully my second trip to the Islands next year are much different. I was pretty distraught that I didn't get to visit the BVI during my time in St. John due to all the restrictions.

I hope it's lifted soon because as a person that stays on Jost I love having a different party every day on White Bay with a different group of day trippers.

Hopefully they reconsider the ridiculous amount of fees the BVIs are charging charters and day trippers also.

It's always been that way. I don't see it changing but maybe they'll get reduced to what they were before.

New info on entering the BVI

Official Statement

Highlights:

Effective June 15th:

No BVI Gateway (regardless of vaccination status)

No travel insurance required

Day trippers not required to have negative covid test (a little surprised that this group is not required to have tests but those of us staying longer are - you either have it or you don't....)

Tests still required (48 hours) for those staying longer than 24 hours in territory.

Masks not required - now personal choice.

Hey have you ever bought sunscreen in Red Hook at that drug store there? We thought about waiting to get it there to avoid a checked bag but wasn’t sure if they had a lot to choose from.

I have not. My wife packs travel sizes of that stuff. We don't use checked bags either when we go down. Shorts, flip flops, t shirts and swim trunks.

That’s my plan too. Was trying to actually use the reef safe sunscreen to be nice but can’t find much in smaller sizes so thought about buying there.

Are you in one of the White Bay Villas?

What does your itenerary look like staying there? Do you just stay on most the whole time or take day trips to Baths or other sights? Trying to decide between boat or land trip.

We rent Nigel and Karen's house which is at the top of the hill above White Bay Villas. We have rented at White Bay Villas before and I have nothing but good things to say about them.

This one is relaxing. We'll probably charter a boat for a day either to do VG and the Willy T or just go to Anegada for the day. My preference is Anegada. We will do Bubbly Pool on Jost and other than that hang out on White Bay a lot.

Does the Willy T ever pick up people in the harbor or do you have to take a boat out to it?

You have to take a boat out to it.

Are you asking about staying on land vs chartering a boat?
