Huntsville Space Center with kids

We are planning to take our 8 and 6 yer olds to the space center later this month. Right now we are just planning to do general admission and purchase every experience that they can do (my youngest may not be tall enough for some).
Two questions for anyone who has gone before or is familiar with Huntsville.
Are there any must do activities at the Space Center?
We will have a second day in the city, any recommendations on other activities for the kids, or good places to eat?
