Why not land in Madrid and immediately head to Sevilla or cordoba. Then do the last day to maybe 36 hours in Madrid. Would always recommend more time in Sevilla (but ymmv with Holy Week if coinciding)

I'd add a night to Sevilla and scratch Cordoba. From Sevilla you can daytrip to Ronda. You could do Gibraltor as a day trip but I'd do Ronda over Gibraltor 100 times out of 100. Right now you're there for 9 nights. You'll have possible jetlag for the first night and then four travels days out of 8 remaining. Travel less, experience more!

That was a thought, but we were trying to be in Seville/Granada near the end of the trip to see some of the Easter festivities. But we land in Madrid early in the morning, so we may get out of there the first day, and then spend the last few nights there before flying home.

Considering this option, thoughts?

Arrive MAD 8:50 AM

Train to Cordoba early afternoon, 1 night in Cordoba

Train to Seville, 4 nights day trip to Ronda or Cadiz

Granada 2 nights

Madrid 2 nights daytrip to Toledo

Not sure about 2 nights in Granada, but am open to moving it around to something else, possibly 1 night and then arrive late to Madrid

People love Granada and I enjoyed Toledo. The old town part is up on a hill. Tons of swords everywhere in the stores. The climb to the top of the cathedral had some great views.

We spent some time in Spain walking the Camino. Spain is a great place to visit. We stayed in big cities and small villages and it was all, old Pamplona and Leon were great. We stayed two nights in Madrid before coming back and agree with other posts, great place for a museum stop (Prado for us).
