Getting hitched in Scottsdale in early September then headed straight to Sand Fran / Napa for a Mini Moon.

What are the cool hotels in San Fran?

Also, where to stay up in Napa?

Thanks!

Wife & I lived in SF for a while and still visit family there...planning on late Sept trip. Last 3 times we stayed at Stanyan Park Hotel.

It's old, in the Haight neighborhood and right on Golden Gate Park. We've had a suite (actually an apartment) and a single room... both comfortable, nothing fancy. Many places to eat/drink within 1 block. Hope the Covid situation is better in Sept... definitely impacts things like free evening wine (none) and morning breakfast (plastic wrapped).

For elegance at a price go downtown to Mark Hopkins, make sure they know it's a honeymoon.

Sorry, but I'm too out of date to suggest Napa places.

Another out-of-town car trip is Yosemite. Ahwahnee Hotel

Important note - do not get a rental car while visiting SF. Uber, Lyft, etc super-efficient. Hill-driving is a challenge. Parking is extremely difficult and/or expensive. Also window-smash thieves target rentals even if nothing is in sight. Get a car with in-city pickup for the Napa leg and airport drop off.

Have a great time.

We went last September. Stayed here in Napa

CHATEAU DE VIE

Reserve the carriage house. It’s a private room and it perfect for newlyweds.
