Also, masks strictly enforced in the mountain base area. Need to wear in the lift line, but you can take off while on the lift and skiing. I wore a neck gaiter, so it wasn't too bad.
Heading to Steamboat tomorrow. I'm pumped. Prob a stupid question but does a ski mask covering mouth and nose work or do I have to wear a mask on top of that?

As long as your mouth and nose are covered in the lift lines, lodges and restaurants they don’t care what’s covering your face.

A ski mask covering mouth and nose does work and no, you do not have to wear a mask on top of that. I wore a neck gaiter face mask everywhere, on the slopes, in town, at the grocery store, at the liquor store, etc. and I never had a problem. Besides, on cold days, that is the best protection for your neck and chin.

This and unless my flight out of Denver gets cancelled tomorrow afternoon, we're staying until Sunday

Once you find Tomahawk run, you’ll take the sunshine express lift back up, over and over.
It’s one of my favorite runs ever.

Top of the Sunshine lift is what I imagine standing on top of the wall in Westeros feels like. It's cold and windy up there. Great runs though.

I did the Tomahawk and Rendezvous runs 6 times a couple days ago..paid for it yesterday and today. Took it easy the past couple days..went up to Thunderhead today and got the call my flight was cancelled and had to head down. Good thing because my legs were shot...

Past 2 days were ZERO visibility up there...we've been here since Saturday and I dont think it's stopped snowing but for maybe a few minutes at a time.

That’s where and how I got my confidence up to ski black runs. I can take anything 25yds at a time, but if I got to the top of west side or Rolex and looked down it would psyche me out.

Anyone been in Steamboat Springs in April? What's it look like? Not necessarily looking to ski.
