I travelled the Mediterranean alone for 2 months when I was younger, and I've done quite a bit of solo travel.
I really enjoy it. I don't know if you're into writing/sketching, but I really enjoy the headspace it creates while you're by yourself traveling. It also gives you something to do (other than frick off on your phone) when you're sitting around at a bar/cafe/etc.
Even if you just journal. Reading is also good and gives you something to do other than just the normal thumbing through your phone. While you'll likely end up doing a lot of screentime, I would encourage you to find something different to do. Otherwise, the solitary space you're in while traveling can feel pretty much like the solitary space you're in while at home or in your normal routine. Because... you're just on a screen. I also think that a person looks more closed off and unapproachable if they're really engrossed in their phone than if they're reading a book, writing or sketching in public. So it makes you appear more open and well... interesting.. than some wanker staring at their phone.
Be open to opportunities for sure and meeting people. When you're on the road like that, opportunities seem to present themselves, and you can end up with some great, unique experiences.

I prefer solo travel especially in other countries. I am pretty sociable while traveling and hardly spend any time alone after I start meeting people. If you just want to get your feet wet overseas go to somewhere like London where English is spoken and public transport/uber is available. Problem solving in foreign countries can be stressful for some. Acquiring the tools to navigate may take some time (i.e. travel apps, forums, electrical adapters, wifi hotspots, etc)

I like finding a good breakfast spot. A coffee shop where i can sit down, have a cup and a muffin or something, and plan my day.

Are you talking long vacation like trips, or long weekends? I did the latter a lot while single. If you live in a big city with a decent airport, the best tip I have is to monitor flight booking sites for cheap flights. Somewhat depends on how flexible your schedule is, but I went to several major US cities for long weekends that way. This was late 90's and most RT flights I booked were around $100. I didn't really care where I went, just wanted to check out cities I'd never been. Went to San Antonio, Dallas, Milwaukee, St Louis, Boston, and Tampa that way.
Once there, I just relied on my knowledge of that city to check out the sites/things to do, or relied on hotel staff.
ETA: I also backpacked solo around Europe right after college, but that's a whole other ball of wax and maybe not what you're looking for. It was a great experience though.

I’m currently on a 23 day solo trip through Italy and then to Santorini and Mykonos.
I’ve been on countless solo ski trips, Hawaii, GTNP and Yellowstone, LSU away games, etc. It’s always part of the experience meeting people from other places.
Traveling solo is just so damn easy. Every second is planned, or better yet, not planned by me.
