The "entertainment" is made for goddamn idiots.

I do agree with this. The 'Shows' each night are not for me. I had a much better time on the balcony sipping a few drinks and watching the beauty of the sea go by. There are many other bars and casinos that you can do something as well.

The ships that sail the 5 day cruises out of Galveston are one step away from the junk heap. Don’t judge all cruises by that one.

Anyone who bags on cruises hasn’t relaxed.

Agreed. I’m not a cruise guy but I’ll never hate on someone for enjoying them. To each his own.

I understand the bitching on the OT. That’s what they do. But I don’t get people trashing vacation spots on the travel board.

Unless someone is asking for advice about a certain area, sure, offer your experience. But when people ask about a dinner rec in Portland, and the cool guy calls you out for going to a liberal haven, it just screams of try-hard

I prefer the cruise to a week long stay at one place on the gulf coast

That’s the key. There is a difference comparing a nice cruise to Gulf Shores. Or a cheaper option to the Maldives. It’s all relative to what you are trying to accomplish.

Relax, you will have a blast. No timelines, unless you are doing excursions, and you let everyone else do the work. What ports are y'all going to ?

It’s for the kids so it’s a Disney cruise to their island Castaway Cay and also the Bahamas I think.

Thats because 90% of the "world travelers" just repeat what they hear. Cruises can be awesome, if you do your homework.

Laziness gets you a floating walmart but there are some really cool cruises.

Perfect comment.

We are on the last day of our Alaska cruise.
On our day heading into Juneau we got up at 3 in the morning and watched the sun come over the mountains then disappear multiple times. It was stunning.

It was a highlight that would never make a brochure, but we had to get our butts up to do it.

Haven’t been to a single show or stepped foot in the casino. Staying outside every minute we can.

Currently bundled under several layers and blankets to be able to do so.

Some people are just so arrogant about their own opinions.

I've never been on a bad cruise. Some are among the best vacations we've ever taken. Al of them have been enjoyable. But I've always liked being at sea. Eventually I would like to do some longer itineraries, like three or four weeks or more, maybe a world cruise.

And when did this alleged cruise take place because you're riding at least a 4-day posting streak?

Thank god the detective showed up.
