Many Glacier Hotel is the pinnacle.
And the Many Glacier Campground is the best campground, IMO. We spent a week there on two different summers and it was just a perfect base for hiking (Iceberg Lake is a great hike) and relaxing, with incredible views everywhere. It's a short walk over to the Many Glacier Hotel and the Huckleberry ice cream. Possibly my favorite place on earth.

The worst road construction is on the west side. 9 miles of choking dust and ROUGH road Apgar to McDonalds lodge. Pretty bad construction into Many Glacier.

I went at the end of July and we would arrive at the park at 6:00. There would not be any lines but you would encounter a few cars all the way up to Logan’s pass. Those parking lots fill up fast so you need to get there early.
It truly is incredible in Glacier National Park. Some of the simple things like the stones on the bottom of the lakes are just incredible.
This is a picture from when we went in March.

We stayed across the border in Waterford. It’s basically the Canadian side of the park. Visited that area and an easy drive into GNP. Highly recommend
