As of right now I have 2 booked trips home...

#1 Drive to Denver tomorrow and get a flight out tomorrow afternoon that connects in DFW and gets me to NOLA tomorrow night..DFW kinda scares me right now...

#2 Stay in Steamboat and grab a flight Sunday to MSY or possibly get a flight out earlier, like Friday or Saturday.

Either way AA has been great and either way my flights will be covered at no cost

Plus on top of that I purchased travel insurance up to $5k for "delayed travel"...so if I have to stay an extra 3 days and have my airfare covered by the airline...my insurance will cover lodging, meals and transportation until Sunday.

I'd stay in steamboat til Sunday if you for sure can get reimbursed. Why not?

That’s what we would love to do but we have other obligations back home Friday night and Saturday. But it is what it is. If we have to just stay in Steamboat an extra 3 days and miss those obligations then so be it. But if we can get home tomorrow night then it’s still a win.

Either way it’s a win win. We shall see what tomorrow brings.

Honestly I don’t mind staying a few extra days, the snow has been incredible and only going to get better

Depends what those obligations are. If you only ski once a year around mardi gras and it's usually only for a few days, maybe this is the chance to relax an extra few days. If it's a funeral, wedding, etc., then yeah I may try and make it back.

Friends made it out from buffalo to Chicago this morning and are boarding the flight to jackson before the winter storm hits the northeast. I'm headed out this afternoon, very excited

Nice! Glad it worked out. Looks like there's seats on hdn-dfw on saturday (357pm) but you'd have to spend the night in dallas. At that point, might as well just wait til Sunday and do the whole trip at once

Cuse is about to head on vacation until sunday so hopefully no one needs flight help. If anyone does, seems like there's plenty of others on here willing to help
