Which sites do you visit the most?
I like Tripadvisor, Touropia and watching Wolters World on YouTube.

I always begin my hotel, flight and restaurant research on Trip Advisor. I hope to start doing more of that in the near future.

Mark Weins does some great food /travel vidoes on youtube.
Trip Advisor is good for hotel reviews.
The Points Guy or Thrifty Traveler for flight deals or airline pointers

We watch a lot of Youtube Bloggers.
Our Favorite: Alina Mcleod.
Sailing Doodles!
His series with "Amanda" (Belize) and "Taylor" (St. Johns) are must watch!
Then there's the venerable Rick Steves! He's kind of swarmy but he visits some beautiful places so I put up with him.
Website wise, TripAdvisor hands down. But no lie, this Travel Board has an amazing amount of information and great for suggestions!

Friend,
Like most here, I grew up watching Rick Steves. His insights and suggestions were invaluable back when we traveled through Europe. European travel is so 1990’s, though, and now we focus on domestic travel. Not until I know every corner and small town of America do I plan on resuming international travel. And for American travel, there is no better sojourner than Robert Morales, whose YouTube channel, Traveling Robert, is spectacular and deserving of a place in the Smithsonian. His videos are also available on Amazon Prime.
Yours,
TulaneLSU

Having been in the travel business for a few years, I learned that independent "vloggers" and commercial rating sites are not worthless, but close enough. Most of them are basically trading perks for good reviews.

I do my research directly. I book direct with airlines and hotels if I'm not doing AirBnB. You have a lot more weight to make changes if you book direct.

I enjoy Smithsonian (sp) Arial America series.
